Welcome to Beansider. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Beansider website, directory, and related services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

1. nature of the service

Beansider provides a curated directory and mapping service for specialty coffee shops, roasteries, and related venues. The information provided on the platform, including Coffee IDs, espresso machine specifications, and roasting profiles, is for informational purposes only.

2. user and venue responsibilities

Whether you are a visitor browsing the map or a venue owner updating a listing, you agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information regarding your cafe or coffee specifications.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract data, locations, or content from the Beansider directory.

3. directory listing rights & termination

Beansider operates as a highly curated network. We hold the absolute and sole discretion to determine which venues are listed on our platform.

  • Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to accept, reject, or ignore any request to list a cafe, roastery, or other venue without providing a reason.
  • Right to Remove & Ban: If a listed venue provides false information, behaves unprofessionally, violates our community standards, or engages in abusive behavior, we reserve the right to immediately and permanently remove their listing from the Beansider network.
  • No venue is guaranteed a spot on our map, and previously approved listings can be revoked at any time.

4. intellectual property

The original content, features, database structure, and map styling of Beansider are the exclusive property of Beansider and are protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. Venue owners retain the rights to the photographs and specific brand information they submit, but grant Beansider a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display this content on our platform and marketing channels.

5. disclaimer of warranties

While we strive to keep our Coffee ID data and venue specifications as accurate as possible, Beansider makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the content. Cafes may change their beans, equipment, or business hours without notifying us. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.

6. limitation of liability

In no event shall Beansider, nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the platform. We are not liable for the quality of services or products provided by the venues listed in our directory.

7. changes to terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
